Re-Adoption Process

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, because I'm really lost on this. Does anyone know how I find information on re-adoption in Washington state? Or what court office to call? Sometimes google isn't my friend :)

So happy things are going well for you. Maia sounds like an absolute darling! :)

As for the readoption, I would ask your social worker. They should be able to give you information on this. I think it varies state to state, but you might need a family lawyer so you could always flip open the yellow pages too. :)

  2. Here is a website which has lawyers in the state of Washington that are involved in adoption. Maybe give one of them a call and ask how to proceed? I am sure there is a free consulation.

  3. I just want to tell you what an adoption attorney told us. since the adoption is finalized in VN, then you don't need to re-adopt. instead it's called a Recogniton of Foreign Adoption, which is less complicated (read less money) so hope that helps you

I work for John Meske, an attorney in Tacoma (Pierce County), who has been completing re-adoptions all over the state for many years. I have been working on his re-adoptions for years also, and am well-versed in the process, and willing to answer questions about the process. He offers free consultations as well. His telephone number is (253) 383-5346. Just ask for John or Ann!
